The Mirror’s Always Round EP by Of The Roses showcases the duo’s knack for weaving stylized indie rock riffs and pop songwriting; hear the power Britpop of “Fear” and “Gone,” the bounciness of Motown-inspired guitar accents on the shoegaze-y “I Hope You Love Me More,” and the heavy grooves of “Falling Through (Ah)” and “Friends.” Together, Serenity Autumn and Josh Delarosa create a striking palette embraced by a powerful rhythm section.
